Chanel Joues Contraste Blush - #64 Pink Explosion (Limited Edition)

I know it has been ages since my last post so apologies about that. People following me on Instagram would know this by now that I was on a vacation and so couldn't upload much this month.
Every blogger has a wishlist and so do I and London can be considered as every bloggers dream destination as I could get most of the products on my wishlist. One of them would be the Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes.
The Chanel blushes have been on my wishlist for a long time now but due to the availability issue couldn't get one sooner. The Chanel blushes were launched earlier with a baked formula in the Fall 2010 collection. The newer version of course differs in formula, it is non baked and has a powdery formula. Along with the difference in texture, the new pink explosion it is also a bit warmer and a bit deeper shade of pink with less obvious shimmer particles in it.
Claims: Unique powder blusher offers buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic, and imparts a flattering radiance to cheeks. Remarkably silky texture ensures easy application of seamless colour. Applied high on the cheekbone, or near the eyes, it instantly 'lifts' and softens the face for a more youthful look.
How to use: The touch of colour and radiance offers effects from very natural to very sophisticated. Used as a simple touch of colour, it gives your complexion a healthy glow. As a professional tool, it shapes and models your face (cheekbones, browbones, forehead, chin, along the nose). Manufactured by a process exclusive to CHANEL, the compact and silky texture of JOUES CONTRASTE gives easy application and subtle blending. The brush is made of natural hair. Highlighting your cheekbones enhances the youthful appearance of your face. For the eye zone, choose a satiny tone to soften and rejuvenate this area.

Results: The most eye catching feature is the luxurious packaging. The blush comes in a big square glossy box with round edges along with the beautiful Chanel logo on it. This gorgeous box comes with a velvet pouch which also has the Chanel logo on it. Inside this box there is a brush and a mirror that makes the application process uber easy.
The color of blush that I fell in love was Pink Explosion which is a part of their limited edition collection. Pink Explosion is a matte cool toned pink shade with fine silver shimmer particles in it. Inspite being a cool tone it works brilliantly with my sunkissed skin. It provides that soothing pink glow and works well with almost any look that you would want to opt for. A cool pink that is lush enough for daily use.
The texture is really smooth and being a powder blush it blends very and diffuses into my skin making it look all natural. The shimmer particles in it provide a smooth satin finish and are not very visible unless observed very closely. I am not a fan of shimmer particles in my blush so I was really content with the overall subtle soft look it provided.
The blush is satisfyingly pigmented and as specified earlier it provides that healthy glow that is buildable. The lasting power of the blush is around 5-6 hours and is quite sufficient for me. Most of all I am so in love with the mild rose scent that the blush possess. Even though the scent doesn't last after application but it surely does smell divine.
