I would like to present to you the second beauty on my Wishlist *drumrolls* - Tom Ford Matte Lipsticks. These were released as part of the 2014 Holiday Collection. Being a Matte lover I immediately added them to my whishlist.
The collection consists of 8 gorgeous shades: Pink Tease, Pussycat, Plum Lush, Flame, Ruby Rush, Velvet Cherry, First Time, and Black Dahlia. Six of the 8 shades are permanent addition to the Tom Ford Collection and only 2 came as a Limited Editions: First Time and Black Dhalia. The color that I instantaneously was smitten by was Plum Lush. I am sure if you see the swatches and clicks you would understand.
Claims: To Tom Ford, there is no more dramatic accessory than a perfect lip. It is the focus of the face and it has the power to define a woman's whole look. Each Lip Color is Tom Ford's modern ideal of an essential makeup shade. Rare and exotic ingredients including soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil create an ultra–creamy texture with an incredibly smooth application. Specially treated color pigments are blended to deliver pure color with just the right balance of luminosity.

Results:
If you have not noticed yet one of the major reason for this purchase is the breathtaking packaging. The elegant golden and black metal body with the TF logo engraved at the top is marvelous.
Other than having a beautiful packaging, the colors in this collection were to die for as well. Plum Lush is one of the darkest of the Tom Ford mattes. It has gorgeous raspberry hues with some blue undertones which makes it a stunning shade on its own. It is probably one of the most pigmented lipsticks in my entire lipstick collection. Even after fading it tends to leave a discreet stain on the lips. The staying power of this lipstick is nearly 5-6 hours after which it tends to fade a bit and the fading is rather even.
The formula is creamy and super soft because of the exotic ingredients it possesses like soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil. The finished look is not the dehydrating matte finish but I would say it is a rich velvety matte or a creamy matte with the right amount of luminosity.

It literally glides effortlessly on the lips and does not gather in the creases of the lips. I have tried a Matte lipsticks and this one does not cause irritation inspite of being matte. Best of all inspite it being a matte color I do not prep my lips before applying this lipstick as it is very hydrating on its own.
Honestly, I would have got this lipstick anyway but the color, moisturizing power, velvety matte effect is a plus point. This lipstick can definately be counted as a Collectors Item.
