All my regular readers must be aware of my immense love for Matte lipsticks. So when a liquid matte lipstick was introduced by Too Faced it automatically went in my Wishlist. The unusual concept of a melted liquid lipstick really did create a talk in the market and all this excitement encouraged me even more to try it.

Claims: Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula. Using exclusive technology to keep cauldrons of molten lipsticks liquid and creamy, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, high-impact, super rich, saturated color that lasts for hours.

Results: To start with am so in love with the cool toned fuschia raspberry shade of this product. This color would suit almost all skin tones and tends to brighten up your entire look. Sadly, most of the shades released are too bright and not for everyday wear. You can make them work somewhat with a thinner application but some being bright neon colors were not as per my taste.
The product comes in a squeeze easy tube like packaging which provided a nice break from the usual bullet lipstick. The outer gloss like packaging appears to be really classy with the red and gold color combination. The packaging helps you easily distinguish colors as the color of the lipstick and the tube is the same.

It claims to have a precision tip applicator eliminates the need for a lip liner, making this formula easier to apply. Honestly as per my experience the sponge applicator definitely makes the application process easy and comfortable. However, the color tends to bleed and a lip liner is a must while using the product. The Melted lipsticks in general are super duper pigmented, rich and intense colors.

The staying power of this is upto five hours including light meals but tends to be transferred to some extent. The fading is even and there is no flaking. The stain also lasts for a long time but am not sure if this is only applicable for the darker colors of this range. A little product surely does go a long way in this case.

Prior to application you need to exfoliate and smoothen your lips as the formula tends to highten any dry patches.There is no need to apply any lip balm after application as the product is not completely matte and provides a velvety smooth effect upon settling that feels quite comfortable on the lips.The formula is very lightweight unlike other lipsticks or glosses that tend to make you feel conscious after application cause of their thick formula.

Overall Verdict: If you interested in high end brands and want to splurge a bit but would not want to go overboard this is the perfect product for you. It is a one of a kind lipstick that scores well in all aspects from packaging to texture and staying power.
