So, being a Matte girl myself when MAC launched their Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick Collection I knew I would surely be adding some of them to my vanity soon. Packaging: MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick comes in a classic, pocket-friendly size. With a black, screw on top cover and transparent bottom, the lipsticks look very chic and attractive. You can see product details mentioned at the base of the lipstick. Also, the transparent base of the product makes it easier to identify shades.

Shade: The MAC Retro Matte Collection has a lovely palette of 26 shades to offer. This range comprises of variants which belong to the red, pink, mauve, coral and brown family. Best of all, this collection has an extensive range of nude shades that are perfect for office wear. On a whole it has something to offer to every tone.

You can also mix two or more of these shades to get your desired shade. I love mixing the shades Oh Lady and To Matte with Love to get the most amazing fuschia shade that I wear on an everyday basis.

Texture: On application, the lipstick is of a creamy nature that settles into a comfortable suede finish. The creamy formula helps spread the product easily and evenly without causing any irritation. On application, the product can give a somewhat dry feeling so I would recommend you to prep your lips prior to application.

Longevity: The MAC Retro Matte lipsticks is probably one of the most long lasting lipstick in my vanity at the moment. The lipstick stayed for more than 8-10 hours on me on without any touchups. The long staying power of this product makes it perfect for everyday officewear the most as you would not have to worry about touch ups.

Overall Verdict; A  nice collection in terms of the wide range of shades it has to offer. Also, in terms of staying power, all I can say is it has become my favourite officewear lippie. I have been loving this collection so much that I am planning on getting my hands on two more shades - Fashion Legacy and Topped with Brandy.
