Loyal customers: These are the people who have been in business with you for quite a long time now. You should never take your loyal customers for granted and offer them some kind of a reward to make them feel special. 
Inactive customers: These people or customers have been missing in the action for a while now. They are inactive buyers but a fresh, exciting mail from the company can cheer their sleepy buyer up and they might actually purchase something. You can also ask for feedback or ask them to fill the survey to improve.

2. Do use the location and in-store or online preferences: Location is very important for email campaigns. You want your customers to know what is happening and when and where. You can send your in-store offers to your customers who are able to get to the location where your store is.

3. Don’t just define your data you need to have some kind of personal touch in your emails.

4. Don’t use too much of technical jargon
Avoid using too much of technical jargon while sending out a targeted mail. You may be aware of the jargons but maybe your customers are not. The technical jargon usually works as a big turn off for the customer when they cannot understand the mail. It never really shows what you’re trying to say.

5. Do use engagement to boost interactionEngaging with customers will always be beneficial for your company and will help in improving for good. Feedback good or bad will help you understand what areas you have to work on more to get a good customer base.
