AAKHREE RAASTA: One of the most remarkable movies of the legend Mr Amitabh Bachchan, Aakhree Raasta was a 1986 crime drama directed by K. Bhagyaraj. The reason we picked this movie is that the theme of revenge continues to be popular in Bollywood and the story of a father and a son on the opposite side of the law still makes for a gripping watch. If we were to pick a name to do the iconic double role, we would say Salman Khan, who has donned similar roles in the past to great effect.

ARDH SATYA: Every now and then, we hear cases of corruption in the news, making this powerful Govind Nihalani directorial, incredibly relevant in our times too. Hence, it would be interesting to see someone like Rajkummar Rao don the cop role who battles politics and corruption in modern day movie. 

HUM PAANCH: The movie has Sanjeev Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Babbar, Gulshan Grover and Amrish Puri in the prominent role. It was directed by Bapu and released in 1980. Gritty movies set in rural India are the toast of the tinsle town with movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Ishqiya getting some serious attention in the past. Also, Bollywood has been known to pull off great multi-starrers and this drama provides the perfect platform of the same.

BATON BATON MEIN:  While there was a buzz of this 1979 Romantic Comedy being remade, we haven’t heard much from it, of late. I mean, we all love a good rom-com and this one is perfect. Focussing on a simple story of middle-class individuals, it would be lovely to see the movie set in modern-day Mumbai. When it does, I surely want the Mumbai local train meeting sequences intact in the new movie with a fresh update.
