After going through a lot of movies in the last few weeks I have come up with this list of Top 5 Drama Bhojpuri movies you can binge on this Lockdown. Sounds interesting? Nirahua Satal Rahe: This movie is a great multi-genre movie with a bit of action, romance, comedy and drama. Nirahua Satal Rahe is directed by Mohsin Khan, starring the loved on-screen couple - Dinesh Lal Yadav as Nirahua & Amrapali Dubey as Anjali. The plot focuses on Nirahua whose wife Anjali has a split personality disorder. However, Nirahua is unaware of this fact and has to figure out this mystery for himself. Nirahua being a master of all trades has played out his role beautifully in this movie too. From beautiful comic timing to action & drama this movie has it all.

Tu Mera Hero: Tu Mera Hero is a classic action-drama movie directed by Mr Ramashankar and starring Khesari Lal Yadav and Ritika Sharma. The story focuses on Govind who falls in love with his boss’s daughter Rani. However, the story takes a turn from the romance avenue into action when Govind elopes with Rani and gets married. This infuriates Rani’s father and he sends goons behind the couple to kill them.

Nirahua Hindustani 3: This movie is the perfect blend of Action, Drama & Comedy. Nirahua Hindustani 3 is another classic by Director Manjul Thakur. The story revolves around Nirahua played by Dinesh Lal Yadav who travels to Mumbai in search of his perfect bride, only to fall in love with Sona played by Shubhi Sharma. However, the plot twist is that due to some circumstances Nirahua is forced to marry Champa, a Maharashtrian girl played by none other than Amrapali Dubey.

Biwi No. 1: Directed by Ajay Shrivastav this movie is a great concoction of comedy, drama & romance. The character Aanand played by none other than Dinesh Lal Yadav falls in love with Aarti played by Monalisa. However, his family wants to get him married to a girl of their liking. Will Aarti & Aanand’s love survive this? Or will Aanand succumb to the wishes of his family?

Sanki Daroga: It is impossible to make a Bhojpuri movie list without a movie recommendation starring beloved actor Ravi Kishan. Sanki Daroga is an action-drama movie with a bit of romance added to the mix. Sanki Daroga movie is directed by Saif Kidwai starring Ravi Kishan as Raghuraj Pratap and Anjana Singh as Sahiba. Sanki Daroga also marks the debut of Ravi Kishan as a producer. This movie is based on true events and addresses some grave issues such as rape and crime against women in India. It also emphasises the importance of making men more sensitive and responsible towards women. This movie also highlights the role of alcohol and substance abuse in such tragic issues.

    Bhojpuri movies are quite entertaining and I would pick the Nirahua starring Nirrahua Satal rahe and the Ravi Kishan starring Sanaki Daroga for a light and fun watch.

    I wish I could able to access ZEE5 here in USA,though I belong to UP but never got chance to watch any bhojpuri movie, your recommendations definitely encourage me to watch, will surely check these out.
